Kathryn's sculptural work often centers around process and is created with the site of display in mind.

Using her background in clay and slipcasting and a fascination with the effects of nature on fired ceramics,

she has developed a body of work that represents her both as an artist and a person.

"My sculptural work is probably my most honest--it's deeply personal, and often inspired by people in my life and things left unsaid.

I use it to work through grief, pain, anger--whatever emotions I experience in my daily life. It's my outlet for my intensity."
